October 31, 2025-- Ph.D. scholar Ms. Khadija Zahid successfully defended her thesis titled “Production of Recombinant Collagen Type I in Serum-Free Adapted 293T Cell Line Using Ubiquitous Chromatin Opening Element Containing Lentiviral Vector.”

She conducted her research in the Virology and Infectious Diseases Laboratory at CEMB under the supervision of Dr. Shazia Rafique, Dr. Samia Afzal, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Idrees.

The external examiners for her defense were Prof. Dr. Ikram ul Haq (S.I.), Distinguished Professor, Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Government College University, Lahore, and Dr. Aamir Ali, Principal Scientist at NIBGE Faisalabad.
